Give: Investing in the Communities We Love

The communities we love are more than places on a map. They are made up of the people who live, work, and play there—the neighbors who lend a hand, the business owners who take a chance, and the volunteers who show up when someone needs help.

Wherever we have lived or traveled, we have found that a community’s resilience comes from its people and businesses. Their determination, generosity, and willingness to care for one another turn a place into a home. That is why giving is an important part of our lives and the way we do business.

Service Is Part of Our Story

It has been an honor to build businesses, provide housing, and contribute to causes that make a difference. Each opportunity has reinforced our belief: success means more when it helps others succeed, too.

With more than 44 years of combined military service and more than 30 years of service on nonprofit boards, we have experienced the rewards and responsibilities of working toward something larger than ourselves. We have served on boards supporting chamber of commerce initiatives, affordable housing, and small business development. We regularly contribute to our church and to military and veteran nonprofit organizations.

These commitments reflect our gratitude for the opportunities we have received and our desire to help extend those opportunities to others. We are committed to continuing that service in the communities we call home.

Giving Takes Many Forms

Giving does not always begin with a large donation or a formal commitment. Sometimes it begins with noticing a need and deciding to do something about it.

Over the past year, we have volunteered our time to support our elections, purchased specific items for single mothers welcoming new babies, and donated to organizations that help veterans transition successfully into their next chapter.

These are different kinds of service, but each starts with the same question: What would be helpful?

Sometimes the answer is financial support. Sometimes it is a needed item, a few hours of work, or a willingness to listen. We believe every form of giving has value when it responds thoughtfully to another person’s circumstances.

No one can meet every need. But each of us can make someone’s day a little easier, create an opportunity, or remind a neighbor that they are not alone.

One Hundred Miles, One Shared Purpose

One meaningful experience this past year was running 100 miles in a single month alongside legions of military members and veterans taking on the same challenge.

The miles mattered, but the shared purpose mattered more.

Together, we encouraged and uplifted one another while supporting avenues for care and assistance for those in need. The challenge brought together personal effort, fellowship, and service—one day and one mile at a time.

It reminded us of something we have valued throughout our military and civilian lives: showing up for one another makes difficult things more manageable. A shared commitment can connect people who might otherwise never meet and give them a reason to keep moving forward.

Small Actions, Lasting Connections

You may have seen our card in local publications featuring “20 Ways to Give.” We created it to encourage involvement and highlight simple acts of generosity that help strengthen our community.

You may also have seen our “20 Ways to Remain Thankful and Positive” card. For us, gratitude and giving belong together. Recognizing the good in our lives inspires us to share it.

Giving might mean checking on a neighbor, supporting a local business, sharing your experience with someone starting out, or volunteering for a cause you care about. It might mean offering encouragement at just the right moment.

These actions do not need to attract attention to matter. Their value lies in the connection they create and the care they communicate.

Our Commitment to Community

Our work in real estate is part of this broader commitment. Helping people find a home, navigate a transition, or make a property decision is an opportunity to serve—not simply complete a transaction.

We want to help people feel connected to where they live and confident about their next chapter.

We give back as an expression of thanks for all that America is and for the beauty, love, and kindness we continue to find in its people. We are grateful to contribute alongside others who care deeply about their neighbors and communities.

Zig Ziglar captured a principle that resonates with us: “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”

We are honored to help others pursue what matters to them: a home, an opportunity, a fresh start, or a stronger sense of belonging.

That is the spirit behind our commitment to give—and the spirit we bring to serving you.
